In fact, their early efforts to secure the Property have already demonstrated value as the prices of lots near the Property have escalated. Their keen sense of recognizing opportunities and moving quickly to capitalize on those opportunities is what provides the development with its competitive advantage. Their creative design of the Ara Macao Resort & Marina reflects the diligence and collaboration that is necessary to develop and construct a world class resort.
The Developer has assembled a world class team of professionals to assist it with the development of the Project. In addition to the professional staff of ioVest, the Developer has secured the services of top architects, engineers, construction managers, marketing firms, and attorneys to help execute the development plans. In some cases, the General Partner will use experts from both the United States and Belize who understands the unique issues associated with developing resort property.
The Developer's architectural and engineering teams are prime examples of the strategic collaboration of top US and Belizean firms. The tri-party architectural team of Linden Group, Inc. (US), Strukture Architects,
Ltd. (Belize), and Aria Group Architects, Inc. (US), for example, led to the cutting edge design of the Ara
Macao Resort and Marina. By studying the topography of the Property, they were able to integrate a natural marina, an 18-hole golf course, and nature preserve as the backdrop for over 1,000 residential units. The architects also worked closely with Shabica & Associates, a top coastal engineering firm, to insure that the marina was strategically designed to be sensitive to wave patterns, land erosion and environmental issues. Tunich-Nah Consultants & Engineers, another top Belizean firm will play a key role in sorting through local development and engineering issues.
The Developer has selected key marketing and public relations professionals to assist with its sales efforts. The Developer's public relations firm, Richartz, Fliss, Clark & Pope, was also selected by the Belize Tourism Board to promote tourism to Belize. This firm was credited with turning Costa Rica into a prime Central American tourist destination. Advertising and marketing efforts of the Project will be coordinated and developed by the Meridian Group, a top resort marketing firm. The Meridian Group was largely responsible for creating the mystical "Ara Macao" name and logo after researching the Belizean origin of this unique and beautiful bird species. The Destination Group, a top internet solutions provider in the tourism industry, has been chosen to provide internet and web-based solutions to the Developer.
The Development will be guided by Handler, Thayer & Duggan, LLC, a Chicago based law firm with substantial international experience. This firm developed advanced asset protection and tax strategies for both the Developer as well as prospective unit purchasers. These advanced strategies will help minimize taxes and maximize asset protection for prospective investors and purchasers. This firm will also assist the Developer in developing the legal structure surrounding the master planned community of condominiums, waterfront villas, hotel condominiums, and related amenities.
